Pricing and Ordering


Our basic pricing is simple, with just a few options to decide on. If you plan to set up the database yourself (as 99% of our customers do), then there are no per-site or per-room charges.

Typical Pricing

A basic package would consist of the software with a manual (plus shipping), possibly with the networking option and/or POS option. The example below covers everything that most of our customers need (assumes U.S. delivery, excluding Arizona sales tax), and these are one-time fees:

Campground Master software w/shipping:      $810

Annual/Recurring Costs (optional)
Technical support and free updates are included for the first year at no additional charge. After the first year, you may continue to get updates and support for $100/year (at your option). You don't have to continue updates & support to keep using the software (it never "expires"), however the available support would dwindle over the years if you don't keep up your subscription.

How to Order

You can order by phone, online or by mail -- but if you're not sure which options you might need, please contact us before ordering so that we can be sure your needs are covered. We would be happy to discuss the details with you, without any pressure to buy.

What you'll receive when you purchase a license:

  • A software CD-ROM with the latest version.
  • License to use the software at one campground or property.
    (This is in the form of an authorization key that can only be used for your campground).
  • A full printed manual, detailing every function.
  • A printed Quick-Start Guide.
  • Support by phone or E-mail.
  • Free software updates for 1 year.
  • Discounts on further updates and other products.

We can supply special computer peripherals for making your PC into a cash register, such as receipt printers, cash drawers, credit card mag stripe readers, and other point of sale hardware.

Credit Card processing
We can supply the software and computer peripherals for processing credit cards through Campground Master so you can get rid of the old dial-up terminal. We don't charge extra for this functionality, but you do need a 3rd-party program to interface with your bank.

Automatic CD-ROM delivery of all updates, for 1 year
All updates within one year of purchase (or annual upgrade) are free to download from our web site. If you prefer to have them shipped to you on CD-ROM, order this option so you don't have to download the updates. (This includes shipping and handling for the update CD-ROMs, for one year.)
Note: We typically have 3 to 5 updates available per year, and this one price includes all of them.

Additional park records
Additional "parks" in the same database (e.g. needing different names on the receipt but located at the same address, for instance an RV park and a marina in the same facility) -- not for multiple properties.
Note: Additional park records also incur an extra $10 fee when upgrading (see "Upgrade from a previous version" above).

Customization and other Optional Services

Importing data from other software
The built-in import function can handle most importing needs automatically, but if you need help or have a program that doesn't export data in a recognizable format, then you can contact us for assistance. If you can provide us with the database files from the old software, we may be able to do this free of charge.

Setting up your map
You can do this yourself using the instructions in the manual, but we can do the map setup if you don't have the time yourself. If you can provide a printed map that we can use for the background, the importing charge is about $75 per map page needed. If you already have it in electronic form, the charge would be less, possibly free. We can also create new, clean maps from your drawings or other diagrams. The cost varies by number of sites or pages and the detail needed, but will typically be about $3 to $4 per site with a $300 minimum.

Upgrades and Support

Updates & support for 1 year
Includes an additional year of support and downloadable upgrades. If you prefer to have upgrades shipped on CD-ROM, then you can order the option for "Automatic CD-ROM delivery of all updates" below (in addition to this license upgrade).
Note: If it has been more than 6 months since your updates subscription has expired, or if a new version has been released since your subscription expired, you will also need to pay an additional amount to cover upgrades to the current version. The additional amount may be as much as $100 per major version missed plus any difference in cost between the current version and your previously licensed version. Contact us for details.

New management training / license transfer
If you change ownership or management of the business and the new staff requires significant instruction on using the system (i.e. "beginner" support all over again), then we reserve the right to charge a "license transfer" fee to cover this, in addition to requiring an upgrade to the latest version.
Note: This only applies to the same business, and assuming the database is already set up for that business. The Campground Master license is not transferrable to another park or business.
